A picnic group was attacked by an unruly mob in Assam’s Barpeta district late Monday evening in a sensational incident. A mob of about 20 people allegedly stopped and attacked a bus carrying a picnic group.

The incident occurred in the Assam district of Barpeta at a place called Luphuria. The criminals are from the nearby village of Sintolu.

Some members of the picnic group were reportedly injured in the attack by the irate mob. Meanwhile, a FIR has been filed in connection with the incident at the Barpeta Sadar police station.
