Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma offers prayer for Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Guwahati’s Uggratara Devalaya on Thursday. Following his prayers, he addressed the media, informing them that he prayed for the Prime Minister’s health.

“Joined Rudra Yagya at Ugratara temple with Bhabesh Kalita and colleagues for the long life of Adarniya PM Sri Narendra Modi Ji.

A man who works relentlessly for Maa Bharti with the blessings of a billion people cannot be damaged by dishonest individuals,” he wrote on Facebook.

Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s (PM) Punjab event on Monday was cancelled due to a security breach caused by a protest.

According to an official statement issued by the Union Home Ministry, there was a security breach during the Prime Minister’s visit to Punjab.

The Prime Minister arrived in Bathinda this morning and was scheduled to proceed by helicopter to the National Martyrs Memorial in Hussainiwala due to the persistent rain and poor visibility.

“PM waited for about 20 minutes for the weather to clear out. He proceeded to travel by road after necessary confirmation of necessary security arrangements by the DGP Punjab Police,” the MHA statement read. ”The PM was stuck on a flyover for nearly 20 minutes after the road was blocked by some protesters,” the statement read. However, in this regard, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) taking cognizance of this serious security lapse has sought a detailed report from the state government.
