State health minister Keshab Mahanta informed that in the next one month all the civil hospitals in Assam will have their own oxygen plants.

The announcement was made by the minister during his visit to the Nalbari Swahid Mukunda Kakati Civil Hospital, regarding stock of COVID conditions.

Mahanta informed the reporters that at least one lakh COVID testing per day will be increased by the state government. He also hinted about no possibility of lockdown in the state.

The state government plans to provide food grains to the below poverty line families who are under home quarantine, informed Mahanta.
