By the end of October 2021, the State Government will have hired 22,921 teachers, including 10,000 in elementary school and 12,921 in higher education.
“We will advertise the filling of 10,000 vacancies of teachers in basic education and 12,921 posts in higher education in September this year,” Education Minister Ranoj Pegu said on Thursday. This is part of the BJP’s pre-election vow to hire one lakh people in a year.
“For all of these positions, the TET (Teachers Eligibility Test) is required.” And the TET has already been completed by the government. The ads will solely be for the purpose of filling empty positions. From the time the department publishes advertising until the time an appointment is made, it will take about 45 days. The appointment will be on a merit basis.
