In a combined operation, Border Security Force (BSF) soldiers and Assam police confiscated yaba tablets worth Rs 1.30 crore in south Assam’s Karimganj area.
A coordinated operation was initiated by troops from seven battalions of the BSF and Karimganj district police in response to specific intelligence about narcotics smuggling.
The officers later stopped a car that was transporting the illegal substances.During the raids, a narcotics dealer was apprehended.
According to sources, 26,000 Yaba pills worth Rs 1.30 crore were discovered in the car during a check. A case has been filed, and further investigations are being conducted.
