A brown sugar manufacturing factory was busted by police in Churachandpur district on Monday, an officer said.

A police team carried out a raid at T Bethlehem village based on a tip-off and recovered equipment, tools, chemicals and other materials which was used in the production of brown sugar, the officer said.

For futher investigation aA case has been registered at Churachandpur police station, he said.

In about 30 acres of land at Zalenkot village under Sangaikot Sub-division in of Churachandpur district poppy plants cultivation was destroyed by police personnel on Monday, another officer said.
