For planning to separate the people of the hills and the valley during their 15 years of rule in the state, the Congress government was criticized by Prof Tikendra Singh, the Manipur BJP state unit President on Saturday.
Organized by the 43-Phungyar Mandal committee, Singh spoke at the meeting of the BJP workers and village leaders of Riha segment at Riha village in Kamjong district.
BJP brought back peace and harmony in the state, Singh added.
Singh said, “We are the largest democratic political party in the world with around 8 crore members enrolled in the party and we treat all members equally without any discrimination unlike the Congress party which has a communal interest”.
The N. Biren Singh-led government was praised for bringing progress by the State BJP executive member Ngachonmi Ramshang.
The meeting focused on the placement of the eight BJP candidates for the upcoming Autonomous District Council election from Phungyar AC, he further added.
Following strict SoPs for COVID-19, the State party leaders, Mandal leaders, workers and village leaders of 43-Phungyar attended the meeting.
