The State Government has imposed curfews on Christmas and New Year celebration nights to control further spread of COVID-19 cases in Manipur.

Night curfew is imposed in Manipur from 12 midnight till 4am on the intervening night of December 31 and January 1, 2021.

Night curfew is scheduled from 10pm to 4am on other days, informed Manipur Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar.

Community feasting during festivals is prohibited by Manipur Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar, to prevent spread of COVID-19.

Gatherings during Christmas and New Year in Manipur are reduced up to 50 per cent of the hall capacity with 200 persons in enclosed spaces following COVID-19 protocols.
