The video of an Ukhrul man shooting a cow went viral on social media.

Reacting to it the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) wrote to the district’s Superintendent of Police, Saujanya Singh, on the basis of which an FIR under Section 429 of The Indian Penal Code, Sections 11(1) (a) and (l) of The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PCA) Act, 1960 and Section 25(1C) of the Arms Act, 1959 has been registered.

The accused Wungshungmi Hungyo was seen shooting a cow point-blank in the video.

This Christian guy killed Mother cow on Christmas eve, recorded it and then his son uploaded the video on Whataspp status.
