On January 4, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Manipur. Although no official confirmation has been received, sources indicate that PM Narendra Modi will visit Manipur on January 4 following his visit to Agartala in Tripura on the same day. This will be the Prime Minister’s first visit to Manipur ahead of the state’s Assembly elections.
During his visit to Manipur, Modi will address a public meeting in Imphal. In addition, he will inaugurate a slew of initiatives and schemes for Manipur.
“Preparations for the PM’s visit are underway,” Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh stated. Prior to his expected visit to Manipur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay a visit to Agartala in Tripura, where he will dedicate a new terminal building at the Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport.
Jyotiradiya Scindia, Union Civil Aviation Minister, and other senior Airports Authority of India (AAI) officials will also attend the opening ceremony. During his trip to Tripura, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also attend a public rally at the Vivekananda Ground in Agartala.
“He (PM Modi) will dedicate the new MBB Airport terminal building in Agartala.” “He will also address a public rally at Vivekananda Ground,” Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb had stated. The new terminal building at Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport in Agartala cost Rs 3400 crores.
