On Tuesday evening, an 18-year-old was killed in a collision between a pick-up truck and a motorcycle in Katalbari, South West Garo Hills, Meghalaya.

The deceased was riding a motorcycle with another person who was accompanying him at the time of the accident. The deceased was identified as Romeo Koch, and the injured pillion as Polison Koch.

The incident occurred on Tuesday evening when a motorcycle with the registration number AS17D4148 collided head-on with a truck with the registration number ML08F3215, killing the rider on the spot.

The other person involved in the accident was severely injured and was immediately taken to the Garobadha PHC for treatment. As per reports, following the accident, the driver in the truck escaped from the location.
