A new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) was issued by the Meghalaya government on Friday, announcing the reopening of educational institutions on September 1, 2021.

The reopening of educational institutes is, however, permitted subject to conformity with the education department’s SOP.

Several activities are permitted in Meghalaya beginning September 1, 2021, following Order No POL 75/2020/Pt.I/111 issued on August 20, 2021.

The central government and state government offices may operate at full capacity and must close at 5 p.m. daily.

Reopening of Tourism places and restaurants at a maximum strength of 50% are allowed subject to compliance with the SOP.
