Meghalaya : Former JHADC Chairman Obil Kyndait breathed his last

Obil Kyndait, former Chairman of the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC), died on Friday morning at his home in Mihmyntdu, West Jaintia Hills district.

In 1978, the experienced politician was elected to the Rymbai Constituency (now Khluehriat) and served as an MLA.
He was also an MDC for six terms.

Before retiring from politics, he took charge of the post of Chairman of the JHADC in 2014.

On July 17(Saturday), his cremation will take place in Mukhaialong, East Jaintia Hills.

Kyndait was suffering from diabetes. He was 63 years old, and leaves behind 9 children and 3 grandchildren.
