Restrictions have been implemented by the District Administration on vehicular movement in the entire district of West Garo Hills from Thursday.

The order has been issued by West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Ram Singh. In the order, vehicular movement will be on Odd/Even basis on alternate days with odd numbered vehicles to move from Monday throughout the week. The vehicles are permitted on the streets as per the arrangement only from Monday to Friday whereas Saturdays and Sundays will be totally closed.

Shops in the market places of South West Garo Hills like Garobadha, Ampati and Mahendraganj have been ordered to open on Odd/Even basis on different days of the week. Odd numbered shops will open on Odd days and Even numbered shops on Even days and on Saturdays and Sundays shops will obey total closure, as per the order.
