Mehraj Sameer Sohliya(46), a Shillong-based senior journalist passed away after a suffering from a long illness on the afternoon of June 12 (Saturday).
Sohliya family includes his wife and two daughters.
Mehraj was recently released from the Nazareth Hospital. He died at his residence in Shillong.
Sohliya worked with an English daily published from Guwahati and was an active member of the Shillong Press Club.
The Journalist fraternity, Members of Shillong Press Club and others expressed their grief over the sudden demise of the journalist of Meghalaya.
