Health Minister Dr R Lalthangliana said that it is possible that Lockdown-like restrictions in Aizawl and other district headquarters of Mizoram might be extended by another seven days.
In a meeting with health officials, leaders of churches and NGOs convened by state governor PS Sreedharan Pillai, the health minister said, “I consulted chief minister Zoramthanga over the extension and he too agreed. The matter will be resolved at a state-level meeting to be held in the afternoon”.

During the time of filing this report, the state-level meeting involving some ministers, important officials, doctors and leaders of churches and civil society organizations were in progress.
