In the premises of Mualpui R. Dengthuama Hall and MINECO Complex, Sports Minister Robert Romawia Royte took stock of the construction of an outdoor gym, on Saturday.

Royte expressed his happiness acknowledging that Mizoram gets two outdoor gyms for the first time.

He said, “Outdoor Gyms are very popular in different parts of the world and in metropolitan cities in India as it provides a platform for exercise free of cost for the public”.

One set of the outdoor gym costs 60 lakhs each and comes with a 5 year warranty.

Mapuia Enterprise, Aizawl looks after the supply and setting up of the gyms.

The construction work of two Mualpuia Sports Hostel buildings was also visited by the Minister.

The MSSC engineers were asked to give their sincere efforts into the project as it will be part of the Khelo India State Centre of Excellence.
