Mizoram : IMA and IDA opposes CCIM notification

The Centre’s move on letting post-graduate practitioners of Ayurveda in performing surgical procedures was strongly opposed by the Mizoram chapter of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) and the Indian Dental Association (IDA) on Friday.

The Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) notification was voiced by the Mizoram chapter of the IMA and slogans of, “no to mixopathy or crosspathy in healthcare” were raised.

Since diagnosis of ailments is not easy and suggestion for its treatment is hard as the types of diseases are numerous, this ‘mixophathy’ in healthcare was opposed by the Leaders of Mizoram chapter of the IMA and IDA.
