Mizoram‘s power and electricity minister R Lalzirliana was admitted to the Zoram Medical College after he was tested positive for COVID-19. He was seen mopping the floors of the hospital he is admitted to, on Tuesday, May 11.

R Lalzirliana, his wife and his son were found COVID-19 positive, and after spending some time under home quarantine he was admitted to the Zoram Medical College.

R Lalzirliana claimed of zero symptoms for COVID-19, however his wife had a mild fever.

Lalzirliana also holds arts and culture, land resources, soil and water conservation, and district council and minority affairs portfolios in the present Mizo National Front (MNF) led government headed by chief minister Zoramthanga.

He is the longest serving minister-MLA of the state.
