An advisory was issued by the Mizoram Government on Wednesday that discouraged non-essential visit to New Delhi amid increasing COVID-19 cases.

The State’s General Administration Department via a circular requested the people to avoid traveling to New Delhi unless it is “unavoidable” or “very essential”.

The circular said, in the two Mizoram Houses which are located at Vasant Vihar and Chanakyapuri, respectively, no new guest will be allowed until further order.

The authorities of the houses are exempted from deciding whom to allow to visit the national capital on medical emergencies and other exceptions, it added.
