Congress leader Rahul Gandhi conveyed his concerns for the people of Mizoram fighting over a wildfire spread in the state. He hoped for speedy recovery of the situation.

In a post on Telegram he said, “Mizoram is in the grip of a massive wildfire. My prayers and wishes for the people of the state to overcome the devastation”.

“The whole nation stands in solidarity with you,” he added.

The Forest fire in Mizoram broke out Lunglei, Lawngtlai, Hnahthial, Siaha and Serchhip districts.
