Nagaland reported 216 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, pushing the tally to 14,350. The COVID-19 death toll rose to 109 as two patients succumbed to the disease.
The new COVID-19 cases were reported from Dimapur, Kohima, Mon, Mokokchung and Longleng.
Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom twitted that, ‘216 Positive cases of COVID-19 reported today. Dimapur- 104, Kohima-95, Mon-11, Mokokchung-4, Longleng-2 and 27 Positive patients have recovered. Dimapur-23 and Mokokchung- 2’.
Disease Surveillance Programme, Dr Nyanthung Kikon stated that, ‘Nagaland now has 1,529 active COVID-19 cases while 12,295 patients have recovered from the disease, state Nodal officer for Integrated. The COVID-19 recovery rate in the state now is 85.67 percent’.
So far, a total of 1,48,118 COVID-19 samples have been tested in Nagaland. It includes 79,393 on RT-PCR, 38,326 on TrueNat and 30,399 on Rapid Antigen Test, later he added.
Meanwhile, State Immunisation Officer, Dr Ritu Thurr said the state has so far administered COVID-19 vaccines to 1,65,007 people.
