Lockdown measures in Dimapur have been extended till September 16 with additional relaxations and directions. This was informed by Dimapur deputy commissioner Rajesh Soundarajan in a notification on Friday.
During the lockdown period, shops and business establishments dealing with essential goods and commodities such as vegetable, fish/meat vendors, milk booths, bakeries, local grocery stores, public utility services such as LPG and E-commerce services, would remain open on all days from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to a notification issued by the deputy commissioner of Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan.
And the curfew will start from 8 pm to 4 am and all other businesses/business establishments dealing with all kinds of goods/items/articles, as well as all shops in New Market, Hongkong Market, and Hazi Park, have been allowed to open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, according to the order.
The notification also says that anyone violating the rules will be penalised.
Meanwhile, the State Department of Education has stated that it is willing to open schools for Classes 9 and 10 in order to promote offline education. The High Powered Committee, however, will make the final decision.
