Taking the tally to 8626, Nagaland on sunday reported 111 new COVID-19 positive cases from across the state — 50 in Dimapur, 29 in Kohima, 23 in Mon, 6 in Kiphire and 1 each in Mokokchung, Peren and Wokha,.
Further, out of 8,626 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people include 3804 cases from the armed forces/police, 1635 returnees, 2779 traced contacts and 408 frontline workers.
Four more deaths were reported in Dimapur on Sunday, suspected to be COVID related. When contacted, a Health official said that the cases were under investigation to ascertain their deaths.
As per the official data released on Sunday, the state has so far recorded 37 deaths (25 confirmed COVID related deaths, 6 not due to COVID and 6 under investigation, excluding the deaths reported on Sunday.
