Nagaland : IMA, IDANSB protest against Ayurveda practitioners

The MBBS Doctors in government service and private practitioners are asked to discontinue all non-essential COVID services from 6:00 am to 6: 00 pm by the Indian Medical Association, (Nagaland State Branch) on December 11.
In a press release on Wednesday the association said, “This is the struggle against mixopathy and quackery entering in to the modern medicine”.

The dental professionals in government service and private practitioners are also asked by the Office of the Indian Dental Association Nagaland State Branch (IDANSB) to discontinue all non-essential COVID services and show solidarity by joining the protest.

The protest is held in opposition to the Government of India’s decision in allowing Ayurveda practitioners to perform various surgical procedures that involves the eye, ear, nose, throat and dental procedures like extractions, filling and root canal treatment, stated the IDANSB President and Hon’ Secretary in a press release on Wednesday.

It stated, “Government must understand and consider the sensitivity of the modern medicine and dental profession and take appropriate steps. Integration of all systems of medicine will only lead to ‘mixopathy,’ confusion and complications”.

The Indian Dental Association will heighten the rage if the steps towards implementing the ‘mixopathy’ aren’t deserted, it further stated.
