From two Assembly constituencies in Nagaland where by-poll elections are to be held from November 3, the Flying Squad Team (FST), Static Surveillance Team (SST), Excise and other agencies recovered drugs, cash and liquor worth Rs. 13 lakhs, an election official said on Sunday.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer, N Moa Aier said the two Assembly constituencies were Southern Angami-I under Kohima district and Pungro-Kiphire in Kiphire district.

The cash amounting 6 lakhs was recovered from one of the party workers of BJP in Kiphire, on Sunday.

Liquor recovered amounted Rs. 6.64 lakh while drugs seized was worth Rs. 78,000, that added to the total value of Rs. 13.42 lakhs.

Under the preventive sections of CrPC in both these constituencies425 people were bound downed, the Additional CEO added.
