The State Government of Nagaland has declared a 7-day lockdown due to Covid-19 situation.
The Lockdown will be active from 6pm on May 14 to May 21.
To break the chain of transmission, the decision for a lockdown was taken by the high-powered committee on COVID-19 in Nagaland during a meeting held at Nagaland Chief Minister’s residence in Kohima.
A statement from the HPC on COVID-19 read, “The existing restrictions will continue till the total lockdown is in place”.
“During the lockdown period, Health & Family welfare department may pursue aggressive testing, utilizing the full testing capacity of the COVID-19 laboratories,” the statement added.
A fresh set of SOP will be issued by the Nagaland Government for the lockdown period.
