Need for cooperation with regard to Naga issue

BJP welcomes Opposition Leader T.R. Zeliang’s statement that the Opposition party and the ruling were on the same line concerning the 7-point resolution adopted on October 15, said BJP National Spokesperson Mmhonlumo Kikon, on Tuesday.
“We welcome the statement of Opposition leader TR. Zeliang and the resolution passed was in the interest of the Nagas,” said Kikon.
Kikon also stated that the door of the Joint Legislative Forum (JLF) is still open for the opposition party NPF so that Naga issue can be taken forward together as one and “as responsible leaders representing the people of the state.”
“We should move together as one because it is for a common cause, it is not an issue which different political parties need to address separately but, everyone needs to come together and address together,” he said.
Earlier, on October 20, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, T.R. Zeliang and NEDA Convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma attended a joint meeting with the Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi.
During the meeting, Shah urged Rio and Zeliang to work together on the Naga issue.
Kikon also informed that the call for “One solution-One Accord” has been the stand of the centre from before and expressed hope that a solution would arrive at the earliest.
