Three persons from Kurseong and one from Darjeeling have succumbed to Covid-19 which takes the corona death toll of the hills to eight. The Darjeeling casualty of Saturday night was an 80 year old man from Phooptshering area.

Darjeeling hospital superintendent Dr. Subasish Chanda said that, ‘The patient was brought here yesterday and his oxygen circulation was very low. He passed away the same night’.

The deceased Covid patients from Kurseong were a 48 years man from Kurseong bazaar and two others from the town outskrits. They all passed away undergoing treatment at Siliguri hospitals.
