In the past 24 hours, Sikkim’s COVID-19 tally increased to 3,893 after 18 people have tested positive for the infection, said an official on Thursday. 17 new cases were registered from East Sikkim district, one from South Sikkim, said Sonam Bhutia, state Information Education and Communication (IEC) Member.
Sikkim at the moment has 268 active cases, and 3,476 patients were cured of the infection, 67 dies and 82 migrated to other states.
East Sikkim has highest cases at 2,890, second South Sikkim at 719, 179 at West Sikkim and 23 at North Sikkim. So far 56,150 samples were tested for COVID-19.
