Sikkim : Memorandum over pending demands in state to MoS Home

DB Chauhan, Sikkim BJP President on February 23, met the Minister of State (MoS) in charge of home, G. Kishan Reddy, in New Delhi and submitted a memorandum listing the pending demands of the state.

The demands are of the tribal seeking for the left-out communities of Sikkim, Assembly seat reservation for the Limboo and Tamang communities and, the fulfillment of other pending demands.

Chauhan urged the Home Ministry to provide an early solution to the Limbooo-Tamang seat reservation issue, which has been pending for 18 years.

The State BJP also requested the MoS to address the pending demands without affecting Article 371F. Meanwhile, The Ministry has given a positive assurance.
