Sikkim records 245 new COVID-19 cases, including two new fatalities.

The COVID-19 death toll in Sikkim increased to 27,125 on Tuesday as 245 more individuals tested positive for the infection, while two more fatalities brought the Himalayan state”s coronavirus death toll to 348, according to a health alert.

West Sikkim had the newest cases, with 103, followed by South Sikkim (73), East Sikkim (68), and North Sikkim (one).

According to the report, the Himalayan state presently has 3,401 active cases, 23,102 persons who have recovered from the sickness, and 274 patients who have moved to neighboring states.

In the state, the recovery rate for coronavirus patients is 86%. According to the report, Sikkim has tested over 2.05 lakh samples for COVID-19, including 1,700 in the previous 24 hours, with a positive rate of 14.4 percent.
