Sikkim Chief Minister, P.S. Golay was visited by Corps GOC Lt General Ajai Kumar Singh and 17th Mountain Division GOC Major General Rohit Sawhney, at his official residence, on Thursday.
Taking to his social media page, the Chief Minister shared, “During the meeting, we discussed various issues on national security and assured full co-operation and support from the State government and informed them that it has always been our top priority”.
For receiving awards over cleanliness and good governance of state by India Today, the Chief Minister was congratulated by the two senior Army officers. The programme ‘Veero ko Naman’ which was conducted to honour the martyrs of the Galwan Valley and ex-gratia was also praised by the Army officers.
The Chief Minster said that he will also informed them that they will be improving the notification and jobs will be provided to the next of kin of Sikkim Scouts who sacrificed their lives in service.
