Sikkim : State Level Kala Utsav 2020 ends

State Level Kala Utsav 2020, a two-day long online competition ended at NIC, Gangtok on December 10.
Under the support of Samagra Shiksha, this year’s competition was organized by the Education Department via online.
Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department, G. P. Upadhayaya, State Project Director (Samagra Shiksha), Bhim Thatal among others attended the event.
The State Level Competition saw 33 participants taking part in the competition, which was virtually screened by eminent artists and officials. Colourful displays of visual arts in 2-D and 3-D, vocal music, instrumental music and indigenous toy making was among the attractions.

To encourage arts in education by showcasing the artistic talent of students in the country, the Kala Utsav is taken up by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The Kala Utsav 2020 focused on one style of traditional and folk art form.
