Sikkim: Union submitted Memorandum to Centre demanding Rs. 17.14 crore

NCDFI Chairman Mangal Jit Rai has written to Minister of State (MoS) B.L. Verma, requesting a Rs. 17.14 crore Central grant to upgrade the Sikkim Milk Union dairy facility and marketing division.

On September 22, Mangal Jit, who is also the vice chairman of the state-owned Sikkim Milk Union, paid a visit to Verma, the Minister of State for Cooperation and DoNER, in New Delhi.

The NCDFI chairman stated in his memorandum that the Sikkim Cooperative Milk Producers Union is working hard to make Sikkim the milk capital of North East India and a dairy laboratory for all dairy lovers.

Furthermore, as an organic farming state, Sikkim is attempting to create organic milk through innovation, technology, and methodology.
