Tourists will be welcome in Manipur if they come up with Negative results, says CM N Biren Singh

Taking stern steps to fight the second wave of Covid-19, the Manipur government has issued an order making it mandatory for all persons entering Manipur both by air and land, to produce a Covid-19 negative report through an RT PCR/TrueNat/ CB-NAAT test within 72 hours from their arrival.

Chief minister N Biren Singh, mentioned the measures taken up by his government to combat the virus spread, urged the people to follow the standing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines.

Biren urged public to refrain from unnecessary gatherings and co-operate with the government’s effort to contain the spread of the virus by strictly adhering to the protocols.

Meanwhile, the state registered its highest single-day spike in Covid-19 cases since mid-January with 31 persons, including two Central Armed Police Force personnel, testing positive in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cases to 29,610.
