From the banned National Liberation Front of Tripura-Biswamohan faction (NLFT-BM), a cadre has been arrested by Tripura Police over extortion cases from Chawmanu town of Dhalai district, on January 3.

The cadre, identified as Berajoy Tripura (30) of Chawmanu town was claimed to carry out extortion activities in the area.

Earlier, one Mantu Debbarma NLFT (BM) cadre was arrested by the police on Friday from Khowai district. Cash amount of Rs 25,000 and a vehicle was recovered from him.
