In Tripura, a ruling BJP MLA has sparked a big scandal by instructing party workers to assault Trinamool Congress (TMC) officials and workers in “Talibani style.”

Arun Chandra Bhowmik, a Tripura BJP MLA, is accused of saying that if central TMC leaders arrive at Agartala airport, saffron party members must attack them.

“…. TMC leaders from West Bengal are attempting to destabilise the BJP administration in Tripura, which is led by Biplab Kumar Deb. “I appeal to all of you to attack them (TMC leaders) in the way of Talibani,” the BJP MLA added.

The BJP, on the other hand, has distanced itself from Bhowmik’s comments, stating that it “does not accept” Bhowmik’s position.
