Tripura: Border issue meeting between BSF and BGB

To talk over multiple bilateral border issues appointed personnel from Border Security Force (BSF) and the Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) have met during the Border Co-ordination Conference at the BSF Frontier headquarter in Agartala.
Different bilateral border issues like trans-border crimes which includes smuggling of drugs and other narcotic substances, border violations and their preventive measures, pending developmental works by BSF as well as by local civil administration, construction of single row fence along the Indo-Bangladesh international border and Coordinated Border Management Plan (CBMP) were consciously discussed in the conference from November 25 to27, 2020.
To start preemptive means for the creation of an environment of peace and tranquility along the international border Both the Leaders of BGB and BSF agreed by settling all the dues and hardening the grasp of friendship, trust and mutual co-operation.
Khondoker Farid Hassan, additional director general and region commander of South-East Region, Chattogram expressed his contentment for the hospitality of the local people during the stay of the Bangladesh delegation at Agartala.
“We are sincerely committed to maintaining peace and harmony along the Indo-Bangla international border and in strengthening the already robust friendly relations”, said Inspector General of BSF Tripura Frontier, Susanta Kumar Nath.
The Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) delegation also called on Tripura Governor, Ramesh Bais.
