A protest rally was organized against the hike in fuel prices by the Tripura Congress on Wednesday. Effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi were burnt during the protest rally.

Slogans were shouted against Modi and his government by the protesters.

Youth Congress leader Pijun Biswas said, “The state government is silent about the protest”. He added that the state government should lower down the fuel price hike.
