Three NLFT (BM) militants laid down arms before Tripura police Special Branch headquarters in Agartala, on Thursday.

The militants are recognized as Rupadhan Debbarma alias Ruphai(30), Amush Tripura alias Sengkhari(32), and Dilip Debbarma alias Momphal(43).

Officials informed that Rupadhan is an inhabitant of Tufaniamura under Takarjala police station in Sepahijala district, Amush belongs from Sindhukpathar under Manu Bazar police station in South Tripura district, Dilip belongs from Bangshi Para under Mungiakami police station in Khowai district.

A pistol with 5 live rounds and extortion notices of NLFT (BM) militants were deposited by the militants.

The arrested militants joined the denounced group in the year 2018 and got training in Myanmar and Bangladesh.

They collected extortion money from the bordering areas of the state.
