Tripura : Partial response of Bharat bandh in state

The nationwide Bandh called by farmers association today has a partial impact in Tripura. Due to lack of transportation service, government offices and educational institutions saw low turnouts.

Public movement and goods transportation were affected as private vehicles and transport services kept off. The Grocery shops were opened but Vegetables and fish markets were closed in most of the areas.

Till now no unfavorable incident has been reported because of the bandh. To tackle any possible event, men in uniform have been placed in different areas by Tripura Government, and circular for attendance of employees were issued.

Rallies were held supporting the strike, and the opposition parties CPI-M and Congress have extended their support to the movements. They claimed that the new Agri-Laws passed in the Parliament in a shameless anti-democratic manner.

The India’s food security is threatened by the laws , it destroyed Indian agriculture and farmers, and abolished Minimum Support Price (MSP) and mortgage Indian agriculture and the markets to caprices of multinational agri-business corporate.
