Considering the new strain of the coronavirus, the Health ministry released a new standard operating procedure, said State education minister Ratan Lal Nath.
Nath mentioned that “On the preparations for combating the threat of the new strain, the state government already started a process for purchasing a Sequencing Machine”.
One person was found positive among the five people who came from the UK between November 26 to December 28.
The Panchayati Raj Training Institute (PRTI) Women’s Hostel has been selected as a quarantine centre, and arrangements has been made by the state government.
Nath added, “As of now, 44,521 health workers and 2263 session sites have been identified, and the database has been uploaded in the government portal. Besides, 1429 vaccinators have been kept ready while six team members for each session team have already been identified”.
