North Korea

Requiring vaccination or business certificates for the same. The country is notoriously opaque with data. And it’s not impossible that 0 cases of COVID could well be a case of managing the numbers. This island nation in the central Pacific has kept its borders shut to travelers since the onset of COVID-19.

Nauru

Travel guidelines to this country in Oceania have been updated to allow fully vaccinated travellers with effect from 31 December 2021. The passengers should carry a negative RT-PCR test report and go through quarantine rules as per the advisory. (COVID FREE COUNTRY)

Turkmenistan

Turkmenistan in Central Asia has kept its borders closed except for repatriation flights coming in. The country says it has had zero cases of COVID-19 so far, but medical experts, including some in the WHO, have serious doubts about this claim. Some put it down to the “extremely repressive, autocratic nature of the government,” which “has a long history of suppressing data and a long history of punishing people who expose the truth”.
