Looking back on fond memories, Today I remember that I used to listen to this song, but now I have my own playlist for daily traveling. For me, songs have always been an integral part while traveling ever since a kid. It freshens up moods and makes the journey memorable. And when I think about travel, one singer flick which definitely crosses my mind is none other than Joy Baruah, which made me rethink and remember the song ‘DUSOKUTE’ which was originally part of our Assamese album ‘Looking Out of the Window’ (2010).

“Dusokute which means In ‘Her’ Eyes; was a breezy uptempo rock song I had composed,” states Joi Barua. “I wanted the listener to feel the inertia kicking in right from the start and a sense of motion that carried throughout. Almost like running, or biking. The director Shonali Bose loved the instant energy of the song and felt it conveyed a distinct sense of optimism, youth, hope, and love. Much like what the characters in the movie felt and were going through. Definitely like a kick-start to anything.”
And yeah, it is true that it again took me back to the upbeat world of mine when I was 17, & it triggered vivid memories that seem to transport us back in time and space.
