She continues to share snippets of her workout routine with her fans and followers. Here are a few things you can take away from her to help you get back on track with your fitness.
1. Do not skip cardio
Sara used to weigh 96 kilogrammes, and in order to do intermediate exercises, she needed to lose weight. As a result, she began her fitness journey by doing a lot of cardio, such as walking, cycling, and running on the treadmill. Even now, she makes it a point to include some cardio sessions in her weekly fitness routine.
2. Focus on weight training to tone your muscles
Weight training has numerous advantages. It promotes joint health, strengthens the core, improves balance, and tones the muscles to give you a sculpted body. Weight training aisles effectively aid in the burning of stored fat in the body. Sara swears by Pilates, a type of strength training, to keep her body in tip-top shape.
3. Try yoga to gain flexibility and mental strength
There will be days that are more difficult or tiring than others, and you may not want to engage in any strenuous workout session at the end of it. On such days, schedule a yoga session to relax your mind and body while also improving your flexibility. It’s a win-win situation for you.
4. Do include bodyweight exercises
Bodyweight exercises are a type of strength training exercise that involves using your own bodyweight to create resistance against gravity. These exercises are convenient because they can be done anywhere and do not require any equipment. These are especially useful when travelling and may not have access to a gym or training equipment.
5. Find Yourself a Workout Buddy
You’ve probably seen videos of Sara working out with her bestie Janhvi Kapoor unless you’ve been living under a rock. There are numerous advantages to having a workout partner. You feel more motivated because you and your buddy motivate each other, you are more consistent because you both rely on each other to show up so you don’t feel like letting the other person down, and working out with a friend is fun.
6. Schedule a day of rest
Sara understands the significance of rest days. These are the days when your muscles can relax, repair, and grow. So, once a week, take a day off from your schedule and just relax!
