River Islands-

  • Majuli,ASSAM

Majuli or Majoli is a large river island in the Brahmaputra River, Assam, India, famous for Vaishnavite Satras. The island had a total area of 1,250 square kilometres (483 sq mi). Majuli is the largest river island and the first island district in the Indian subcontinent. It is also recognised by Guinness Book of World Records as World’s Largest River Island

  • Umananda Island,ASSAM

The Umananda Island, also known as Peacock island, is the home to Umananda temple and it is the smallest inhabited river island in the world.

Reserved Forest

  • Kakoijana Reserved Forest,ASSAM

 Kakoijana reserved forest is famous for Golden Langurs.

  • Langol Reserved Forest,MANIPUR

 It is known as the “lungs of Imphal Valley” for its wide stretching area span in the Imphal valley. Besides, it is famous for the sacred groves which were preserved since ancient times for religious belief

  • Langshiang Falls,Meghalaya  The Langshiang Fallsis located near the village of Sangriang, 24 kilometres (15 mi) from Nongstoin, in West Khasi Hills district in the Indian state of Meghalaya.It can also be seen from Mawpon village
  • Kynrem Falls,Meghalaya

The Kynrem Falls is located 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) from Cherrapunji in East Khasi Hills district in the Indian state of Meghalaya. It is situated inside the Thangkharang Park.It is the 7th highest waterfalls in India

  • Leimaram Falls ,Manipur

The falls is located a short distance away from Imphal, the capital town of  Manipur (India), with only a road distance of  about 23 kilometres from the town.

Panimur Falls is located in the Dima Hasao district (formally North Cachar Hill District) of Assam, a state in North East India.

  • Akashiganga Falls,Assam The Akashiganga in the Hojai District is on the National Highway 36 which is 11.6 km distance from Doboka Town.
