British PM Boris Johnson is expected to visit India soon

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is expected to visit India on April 26.

According to sources, The British PM may visit a city outside the national capital. The cities expected are Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Chennai.

However, no official statement on the date of visit is out and the contours of the visit are still being worked out.

Boris Johnson was supposed to visit India earlier this year but had to cancel due to Covid-19.

Johnson recently announced that Britain would bend its focus on the Indo-pacific region as part of its integrated review of government policy for the coming years.

India is a high priority for the UK and this was highlighted in the Prime Minister’s move to make India the first country to visit after Britain’s exit from European Union.
