CBSE announces Board Exam Fee Exemption for students who lost their parents to Covid-19

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) waived the registration and examination fees for students taking board exams.

According to CBSE, students who will be taking their Class 10 and 12 board exams next year and have lost their parents due to the COVID-19 pandemic will not have to pay any registration or examination fees.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has had a negative impact on the country, and in light of this, CBSE has decided that neither the examination fees nor the registration fees will be charged by the Board from students who have lost both parents or surviving parent or legal guardian or adoptive parents as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic,” according to CBSE Exam Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj.
