According to India’s National Center for Seismology, a 4.2 magnitude earthquake was reported near Delhi on Thursday night.
The agency claimed the epicenter of the earthquake to be 48 km southwest (SW) of Gurgaon in Haryana.
The earthquake struck at 11:46 pm at a depth of 7.5 km from the surface.
JL Gautam, Director (Operations), Seismology, IMD said, “The intensity of the quake was 4.2 on Richter Scale. The epicentre was Alwar, Rajasthan”.
